This is a release announcement of TimeTracker 1.3.12 stable. This release is more or less the same like 1.3.11 which turned out to be quite good and stable. It only has the following changes:
- IMPORTANT! requires Mac OS 10.5 or higher
- Superfluous „;“ character in exported CSV
You can download the release here.
Update 5.12.2010
People noticed that previously the newer build was still having 1.3.11 as a version number. This is fixed now. No more update loops. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I’d like to upgrade from 1.2.1 to the latest. I’m wondering, though, since I currently have no way to export the data, if it will all be saved with the new installation. If you have any tips on how to ensure that I keep all of my old data, I’d really appreciate it. I’ve completely relied on TT to run my business for years. Thank you!
@Lisa, you can find the storage locations at the FAQ just make sure you backup the file to a safe place, then run the new version. It should migrate the data just fine.
Hi Rainer,
Are you planning to develop an iPhone app (sync with desktop application)?
I would pay for it ….
Eventually it will come. I started to work on a newer version of the desktop application which will make it possible to do that.
Sounds great, thanks for the info.
Hi Rainer, I just upgraded…have been nervous to do it in
the middle of keeping track of my time up to now, but I had a lull
and decided to go for it. The new version doesn’t have the „last
month“ filter which is the only one I use since I bill monthly. Can
I get it back? Thanks!
@Marilyn. I have the month filters in my list on 1.3.12. Are you sure they are gone? Can you send a screenshot?
The „This week“ and „Last week“ filters seem to have stopped working lately. Filtering by „Date is“ produces no results for „exactly“ or „at least“ xxx „weeks ago“ („at most“ seems to work).
I like to see totals for the week, so I hope you have a fix.
cant replicate this unfortunately. Try selecting „All projects“ from the projects table view.
Here’s a screen shot that shows a blank for This Week, even
though I have entries for 12/29 and 12/30:

same result for Last Week. Tried restarting Time Tracker, no luck.
Everything else works.
@Bill please try it again after the New Year and see if it works then. If you want you can send me your data file and I can try and replicate the problem. Rburgst at gmail dot com.
@Bill, now that I am in the new year too, I see the problem. Its problably the thing that we still have week 52 even though its already new year. I will see if I can find a workaround.
I got a fix but need to test it for a week and see if it works. In the meantime, you can specify the dates manually. Sorry for the inconvenience. I could send you a test version though.
Thanks. It seems to work again now in 1.3.13 plus the new
year.
I have formatted my imac but of course saved the „Time Tracker Data.csv“. After I have installed my OSX again, I cant make the new installed Time Tracker read my „Time Tracker Data.csv“ with alle the data…. I have also tried to put the old data into a new blank .csv, But The Time Tracker dont see anything…. What am I doing doing wrong?
@Skrubsak, please check the FAQ where the actual data file is located. I hope you have a copy of that one too.

Thanks! No I dont ;-(. But I have the CSV and I’ll manually put the tasks in again.
Hi.
I’m suddenly having problems adding tasks with v.1.3.12.
1. I select a project
2. I select File -> New task
3. Nothing happens
4. I check the task window and see ‚New task‘
5. I select ‚New task‘ and times and notes from previous tasks show up in the bottom pane
6. I select one of the times in the bottom pane
7. A pop-up window appears and by the ‚task‘ selector the name of a previous task appears
8. I close the pop-up and select the task which appeared in #7, and the bottom pane is empty.
Please help. Thanks.
@spider: are you recording while you are doing that? Also is the result different if you use the toolbar buttons? Try and upgrade to the latest beta and see if this improves things.
Hi Rainer, I updated to 1.3.12 and lost the toolbar buttons. What happened?
TT has been a great help so far. Peter
@Peter, right click on the toolbar and choose „Customize“ that should allow you to put them back. Not sure what happened though.
