This is a release announcement of TimeTracker 1.3.10. This is a bugfix release with the following changes.
- IMPORTANT! requires Mac OS 10.5 or higher
- fixed a potential segfault when starting a recording after having “all projects” selected
- fixed issue 75 adding a recording via the plus while last week filter is on does not show the recording until restart
As always you can grab the build from here or just update via the app.
If you have problems, questions or other feedback, let me know.
UPDATE:
note that I had to re-upload a modified binary. Therefore, if you upgraded in the time between my 2nd upload and me changing the appcast you might get a signature mismatch. If this happened to you, please just download the linked file and replace the old timetracker in your Applications folder. Sorry for the inconvenience.
thanks a lot. i really enjoy this simple free tool.
Please make an iPhone Extension. And Charge for this. Thanxxx.
@Nobody, if there were enough hours in the day, I would definitely do that. Eventually it will happen for sure.
Was it intentional to drop PPC support in this version?
@Will, hmm, not really, but it does require 10.5
@Will, I have changed the project settings so that it will add ppc builds as well. If you want to try create an “issue” on google code and I will upload a test version there. If it works I will roll it into the main build.
Thanks for being so responsive. Issue submitted.
great work!!!
@rainer – i’ve tried TT 1.3.10 and 1.3.9 on PowerMac G5 with MacOS X 10.5.8. They both refuse to run saying it’s not supported by this architecture.
Probably it’s PPC issue mentioned above.
Hey! Huge thanx for this useful freeware. Its the best app for timetracking i’ve found – simple and exactly what i need.
Much better then expensive shit full of useless features!
was working with version 1.0 for a looong time, and didn’t even have a clue that this program got refreshed so often – now just updated to the new version – and finally have all the stuff I have been missing.
Thank you so much for this great tool!
Exactly what I need.
One Question: In v 1.0 I was able to change a task time afterwards
(like: “hey, I was working much longer on this task, I just had forgotten to reactivate the timer after lunch break!” or similar…) , now it seems not possible anymore. Is that so?
Thanks again!
@icanboogie: try double-clicking your recording
@rainer: doubleclicking to change time does not work with my imported (from v1.0) tasks, but seems to work with any newly recorded tasks.
thanks, that’s just fine!
@icanboogie, the next version will have a fix for that.
Hi Rainer,
I like the tool a lot, but it is sad it is only available in English. I have done both, Mac OS coding and translations before and would gladly contribute a German translation for this tool. Let me know if you’re interested.
Martin
Of course I would be interested. I would be glad if you could change text references with localized macros.
Hi Rainer,
So ? Did you really drop PPC support ?
I was hoping you would keep supporting my old G4 PoweBook with this release of your wonderful app.
*sigh*
PPC is still supported but it will only come back in 1.3.11 (however, the app does require 10.5 at least), until then try this http://code.google.com/p/time-tracker-mac/issues/detail?id=79
Rainer,
I’m glad the version for PPC-10.5 at
http://code.google.com/p/time-tracker-mac/issues/detail?id=79
seems to work just fine. Phew!
Thanks.
Rainer,
how can I migrate my old TimeTracker-Data to a newly setup Mac? I was hoping that TimeTracker would read out the exported CSV if I point it to it, but unfortunately it doesn’t (take this as a feature request 😉 ) …also the plist-file only stores preferences, so I’m wondering where TimeTracker stores it’s data and how I can get it back on my newly setup Mac.
Thanks.
@Matthias, this should now be answered by the new FAQ page 🙂 http://code.google.com/p/time-tracker-mac/wiki/FAQ
yes it did, thanks!
Is this the best place to get questions answered? I can’t seem to find a “Help” file.
How does one delete a “New Project” in 1.3.10? The Delete key doesn’t work, Edit>Delete doesn’t work, and the backspace key doesn’t work… what am I doing wrong?
@djf, hmm, thats odd, for me the backspace key works just fine. However, there have been a few fixes in 1.3.11 (beta) which might help.
just downloaded 1.3.11 and am able to delete projects and tasks now. thanks for a FANTASTIC, EASY TO USE, FREEEEEE, time tracking program!
