  1. Hello,

I just tried your version of Time Tracker and I really appreciate the added features, especially the time filtering one. Unfortunately, I don’t find the interaction of this feature really intuitive. How I’m supposed to remove the filtering ? Also, one time, after I use the filtering, I was not able to do most of the thing. Starting a task do not work, neither editing a task already done?

One last thing, I found the menu bar button a bit to large. It need to breathe a little more. I done some reduce version of the button. If your interested in incorporating it, just email me and I’ll send you my smaller versions.

    Thanks

  2. Thanks Rainer, that bug was annoying.

I have a feature request: I want to be able to hide the dock icon but still be able to access/control Time Tracker through the status bar icon. This would work great if the status bar icon had a dropdown menu when you ctrl+click it with show/hide window, add project/task, quit app, etc.

    What do you think?

  3. Also do you think you could make it optional (perhaps in the preferences) to have the „times.cvs“ file created in the home folder…or at least let me choose where to have it created?

  4. @Ethienne: you remove the filtering by clicking on another filter category (ie. month, ..) or by „Select date“ and then cancel. I agree that its not optimal, so if you have a better proposition, I am glad to consider it. Sorry for the late reply, my email notification does not seem to work too well.

  5. @Gadz: I just finished b7 (will be uploaded shortly) which adds the context sensitive tooltip. However, my Cocoa knowledge does not contain how to hide the doc item though. However, I use it in a different fashion and the doc does not bother me (I am using quicksilver and hide the dock alltogether).

  6. Hi rainer, to hide the dock icon I use an App called „Dock Dodger“.

In order to get rid of the dock icon without Dock Dodger, you must modify the file named ‚Info.plist‘ inside the Application’s package (i.e. Time Tracker.app/Contents/Info.plist). Open this file in your text editor and add the following section (if it’s already present simply change the 0 to a 1 in the string tag:
    [KEY]NSUIElement[/KEY]
    [STRING]1[/STRING]

Maybe you could add a preference that hides the dock icon and adds a keyboard shortcut to show/hide the main window. Utimately though a context menu on the menubar icon would be the greatest thing!
